“Come on… even after all this time, it's still really hard…”

Brodie was currently tucked in his bed late at night, though of course he wasn't sleeping. He was distracted by his PSP as usual, because he had a game to beat. Again.

And with the general tendencies of the human eyes to not function their best while in bed at night, he wasn't doing so hot with the game right now.

“Damn…” he whispered, trying not to wake anyone up, “I can't lose now, I'm just a chunk away from beating Terranort…”

Clearly, Brodie was an avid fan of the Kingdom Hearts games, as right now he was trying his hardest to beat the final boss of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Not that he really needed to, being that, as a big fan of this game in particular, he's already beaten it multiple times prior.

Didn't stop him from replaying it, of course, since he loved the game too much.

Why he loved this game especially was something even he didn't know 100%. Of course the game itself was great, that's why he was playing it to begin with, but for the most part it was still a pretty normal Kingdom Hearts game. And considering that it was a spinoff for a handheld, it was certainly strange to have a special appreciation for this one in particular.

But he wasn't too focused on that, of course, a much as he was on the final boss, which by now was pretty much defeated.

“Yes!” he said before hushing, hoping he didn't wake anyone.

And once he made sure no one did, he turned back to the screen to watch the final cutscenes before the credits roll, which, of course, he's watched so much that it didn't matter how he was watching it without audio. He already knew what would happen.

But, he didn't really care. He still always loves watching it, being that the game still had a great and interesting story backed up by a cast of really likable and emotional characters, and after a long battle, the final cutscene is always a satisfying one to go back to.

He thought about all this as he watched it happen, smiling as the after-credits cutscene played before booting back to the main menu. It was still kinda weird to him why he'd like this game enough to replay it this many times, since technically he could argue for the story and characters in any of the games…

But it became more evident every time he played: he just had a lot of fun playing as the protagonist Aqua, who's only playable appearance was this one. As much as he loved the other characters in the series, it was still hard to argue with one of the only Keyblade Masters he could play as. In addition to being so good at fighting, he really liked her emotional and important role in the story itself, with acts so brave and heroic that no sensible author would take the time to spoil them. And maybe that could be said about plenty of the characters, but… it was kind of different to him when all of this applied to a main protagonist.

Kind of made him jealous, in fact. As dangerous as Aqua’s challenges are, there's still no denying that she's the most charming badass he's ever played as, and much like every fan of the series, he'd always fantasize what it'd be like to actually go through those challenges…

But he decided to put those thoughts aside for the time being. After turning his PSP off and sticking it in the charger, he took a look outside to see just how dark it was. Good indication of how late it was, despite the digital clock just across from his bed.

He always did this when he found himself up this late for some reason, probably just as an excuse to stare at the coastline at the end of the block  which was certainly beautiful at night. He chuckled at the fact that it was honestly pretty ironic, putting into thought the game he was just playing. Only stretched his imagination even more wildly!

And speaking of which, he then saw another huge piece of irony fly by out of the corner of his eye… a shooting star soaring through the sky. And by the way it was colored, he could confirm that it wasn't a satellite!

He gasped a bit, starting to get a bit excited. Not that he thought wishing upon it would actually do anything, considering how science taught him that it was just a regular meteor that already passed by and burned up thousands of years ago. But it was still exciting to him since he's never actually seen one go by before, and it certainly heightened his old whimsicality to see one directly after playing a Disney game!

And since he's never had the chance as a kid to follow Jiminy Cricket’s advice, he decided that there was no better time than now!

Putting his hands together and closing his eyes, he emptied his thoughts and concentrated on nothing other than the wish he was making before softly muttering the words…

“I wish I could be a Keyblade Master like Aqua…”

When he opened his eyes, he could see that the shooting star was gone. (Or the light was gone, the meteor itself was gone for many years.)

He smiled to himself, still having gotten enjoyment just at the childhood wonder that came out of that. Real or not, it was still pretty fun to try wishing upon a star wherever there was a chance!

And with that, he took a quick glance at the clock before getting all the way under the covers and beginning to doze off. After all the adrenaline that pumps from any boss fight, it was nice to know that he had a peaceful night ahead…

“Gah!” he yelped a couple of hours later, sitting up in his bed, “What was that?!”

Brodie was quite confused, having heard some sort of crash outside. As far away as it sounded, it was still loud enough to wake him up in the middle of the night!

Curious as can be, he stood up on his bed to look out the window again. Surely he'd at least see something in rage, he just heard it crash!

And sure enough, he could see a faint glow where the beach was…

“Hmm… that's strange… don't know what it could be…”

What made it hard to figure out was just the size of the glow. The fact that it was glowing was enough to throw what it was into question, but maybe he'd expect something like it from a meteor if it didn't look like it was coming from something much smaller.

And curiosity was getting the best of him…

But he was really hesitant. After all, it was 2:00 A.M., and he was thinking of sneaking out of his house over slightly suspicious beach activity! Maybe it wasn't even a big deal, it was probably just a light that stayed on during a thunderstorm or something like that!

But no, it wasn't… looked and sounded nothing like that, or any common thing he was familiar with. He just really felt he had to know…

Taking a flashlight, and one last check behind him to make sure no one was looking, he creaked the window open just enough to jump through safely before doing just that, landing on the grass just fine before beginning to make his way to the beach. It'd be a bit of a walk from here, but nothing he couldn't manage.

And it did take a good bit of time before arriving, passing by plenty of unlit houses and almost getting a splinter on his foot from the boardwalk he had to cross. But once he did, he stepped onto the and and then went on a mad search to find what he was here for.

Certainly took longer to find that he'd initially expected. Either the glow was bigger from afar or it was so big that it looked like it was everywhere, because no matter where he looked, he couldn't find it anywhere on the sand, at least between all the rocks and cigarettes that littered it. Even with the flashlight, it was difficult to tell what exactly was so different than everything else as to be worth coming here for…

And then he tripped over something in the sand by the water.

“Agh!” he shouted, nearly face-planting in the sand, “Stupid rocks!”

But as he tried to stand up again, he noticed that he tripped not because his foot hit something, but because it was caught in something. Releasing his foot from whatever it was, he shined his flashlight in the sand where he tripped.

Whatever it was, it was what looked like some sort of weird piece of metal sticking out of the sand, with an arc that made a hole just big enough for his foot to get caught in. And on the end of it was a different color metal with a chain hanging off. It glistened in the light he shined on it, and it only seemed to be part of something larger stuck deep in the sand…

“Hmm… wait a second…”

Getting a good feeling about this, he stood up and bent over, grabbing whatever it was and tried pulling it as hard as he could, to no avail. He continued to try as hard as he could in hopes of looking like King Arthur, but he unfortunately didn't take into account the effects of being at the beach at night, which includes much stronger waves…

And a massive one was about to collapse on him.

And in a moment it hit, washing Brodie back all the way to the other side of the beach. The good news was that the strength of the tide was enough to take that thing he was tugging up with him, but the bad news was that now he couldn't even see it yet, since he was knocked out cold.

And the nighttime only continued on with him resting unconscious on the sand, mysterious glowing object in hands. Only now, it was glowing much brighter than before…

It was glowing so brightly, in fact, that it almost looked like Brodie’s hands were glowing a bit with it. Whatever the case was, they didn't really look the same the more they held it.

For starters, the skin covering them was already somewhat more pale than before, and any traces of body hair covering them were now gone. As if that weren't enough, the hands themselves were becoming much slimmer than before, and the fingers in particular were becoming somewhat longer as they thinned out. His hands in general were becoming much more dainty in texture as well, taking on a rather feminine appearance only backed by how his nails were growing a bit longer. With a few other minor touches, his hands had become an elegant pair of hands that looked like they belonged on a body nothing like his own…

And the changes that occurred there only spread, with his arms beginning to follow suit. The skin itself became the same paler, smoother texture his hands’ had, and much like them, they were becoming much more elegant and slender, specifically through fat loss. Muscle also had a good deal to do with it, except oddly enough he only got stronger in the arms from the changes. His muscle was simply compressing more, leaving his arms skinny as can be to match the elegant tone of his hands while staying quite strong.

Once that was through, even Brodie’s clothing began to become affected by the glow. His shirt in particular wasn't changing too much just yet, but the long sleeves he wore were separating from the rest of the shirt and growing slightly past his hands. The top parts vanished to show his shoulders, and what was left of his sleeves whitened out completely. The parts by his upper arms only tightened as the lower part expanded in diameter. In addition, new materials were materializing on his arms, which in this case were pieces of blue armor on the backs of his new bell sleeves and tan fingerless gloves that formed on his hands underneath them.

By now, the changes had reached his torso, which already had to adapt to his new arms. As the new skin texture continued to spread, his shoulders were starting to snap inwards to make his torso much less broad, bringing his arms closer to his torso as overall it began to really slender out. His back also made a loud crack, now arching a bit to match his feminizing look. Much of the fat in his waist and sides was burning up in addition to the strengthening and yet compressing muscle, and it was helped by the fact that his torso was slowly gaining some extra height. But new fat was also being created, specifically in his chest, where slowly but surely it was expanding outwards to form what seemed like a pair of breasts, both of which were actually more than moderately sized, at least for his age. It would've shocked him enough that they were forming at all if he were awake to see them.

As they were forming, the changes moved onwards to his hips, which cracked outwards to accommodate for the feminine hourglass figure that his thinned waist had already started. From there, his legs were next, as they too gained some extra height as they took on an elegant, feminine tone. The strengthened muscle once again compressed as the fat contained in them burned a bit, though there was still enough left to distribute to his thighs, where they bulked outwards to fill in the space opened by his hips. Some of it also distributed to the backs of his lower legs, which helped to add to the curvy figure he was developing. As his legs were finishing up, his feet were following the same changes his hands had gone through prior, slimming out to be more dainty and elegant with longer toes and nails.

And in between his torso and legs came the changes that he'd likely panic the most over had he not have knocked out cold, starting with his rear end as soft fat built up to swell more and more outwards. It put a small amount of stress on the pants he was wearing, and the feel alone would turn some of anyone’s face red, but that didn't even stack up to the feeling between the legs. With merely a popping sound, the biggest defining feature of his gender quickly inverted, the biology of it reshaping and repurposing to fully invert to the opposite gender. And from there, a chain reaction occurred all throughout his body, Y chromosomes shifting to X chromosomes in order to fully reclassify her gender.

And with every body part below her neck now altered fully, all that was left down there was her clothing. It started with her shoes, which were drastically altering as they hardened to silver armor metal, opening here and there and thickening to boots with pointed tips and hooks on the side of each. Underneath them, her socks were recoloring to black and growing far up her legs, past her knees and halfway up her thighs to form a pair of stockings. From there, her pants were darkening to the very same color before shortening to shorts covering her upper thighs, exposing some underneath, and tightening/loosening where it was necessary to fit. Her now sleeveless shirt was next, shrinking there to expose her pits and more shoulder before becoming completely blue, resizing to fit and growing up to cover her whole neck. On top of it, from her breasts down, formed a black corset-shaped piece that tied to it, fully creating a halter top. Underneath, two long strips of blue cloth draped over either side of her hips, and a similar white cloth tied itself up around her waist. And at her chests, two pink belt wrapped over each shoulder, with a pink badge forming where they crossed.

Underneath the collar of her top, her now compressed Adam’s Apple flattened more and more until finally vanishing, and from there, the final changes occurred at her head. Her whole face was now restructuring itself, cheekbones rising and jawline dropping to mostly feminize it. Her lips then puffed out a bit more, becoming more visible on her face as her nose did the opposite by shrinking slightly and reshaping to become more petite. Her eyes then grew in size ever so slightly, eyelashes lengthening out more as her irises fully flushed blue. And finally, her hair thickened in texture before lengthening out, a couple of bangs covering her face as the rest of it grew just down to her neck. The color brightened to the same blue as her irises, and her eyebrows lit to the same color.

And with that, the very final change occurred. Brodie had changed from the mysterious object on the beach to a girl about her age in the span of less than an hour, and the night wasn't even finished. With no one walking down the sand at this time, no one would be able to find her until morning…

At least assuming anyone could, if the continuous glow of the object was any indication that she wouldn't be here in the morning…

Finally, the sun had risen, shining down on Brodie as he continued to lie down, asleep in the sand. Of course he'd been there all night, and thankfully his fully unconscious state had slowly shifted to a simple rest prolonged by a headache. And with all the things that happened last night, she had a good reason to have one.

But finally, someone was walking across the beach. And with the rather vibrant and unique appearance Brodie and her new clothes now possessed, it was no wonder he spotted her immediately. With a gasp, he ran over to her to see if she was okay.

Kneeling down, he rolled Brodie onto her back, wiping some of the sand off her before looking her face to face…

“Aqua!” he called to her, a bit panicked as he tried to awaken her.

And with a bit of effort, she slowly opened her eyes, still holding her head as her blurry vision became clearer by the second. The man’s face was coming into her vision, and it was strikingly familiar to her…

“T-Terra?!” she said in shock, before widening her eyes more to the sound of her voice.

“I'm so glad you're okay,” Terra said with a smile as he stood up, offering Brodie a hand.

Confused out of her mind, Brodie hesitantly took the hand, gasping at the delicacy of it as it was being lifted. And on her feet, she definitely felt strange, and a bit more… weighed down.

“Is something wrong?” Terra asked with slight concern in his voice.

“Uh, m-my… ugh, I…”

Brodie had no idea how to react to all this, recognizing the clothes she now wore and the key-shaped blade she suddenly found being held in her hand. It all seemed so familiar…

And to put a final nail in the recognition coffin, she found a conveniently placed bowl-shaped rock to her left, the beach water within it somehow crystal clear! Taking a step towards it, she took a gasp in extreme surprise at the face that looked back at her from the reflection.

“What's bothering you, Aqua?” Terra asked again, now shocking Brodie even more just by confirming her disbeliefs.

There was no question about it, Brodie had definitely changed into that Kingdom Hearts character she was obsessing over just a few hours ago. And even now, she had no idea how to react! How did this even happen to her? How could a Keyblade exist in her world and then put her in Aqua’s position from another?!

“Are you hurt?” Terra asked as he walked over, more concerned by her lack of a response, “You look a little dazed, like you're seeing stars or something…”

And then it all came to her.

That shooting star turned her into a Master Keyblader, and by the context of her wish, it made her Aqua. And now she was getting frustrated and panicked, not sure how she'd be able to live life like this…

But then again, didn't she learn from all those playthroughs?

“A-A little,” she finally responded, trying to be calm, “I… just passed out in the beach last night and I have a bit of a headache…”

Terra sighed in relief, wrapping a warm arm around his friend.

“Heh, glad to hear! Want me to take you home? You look like you could use a rest.”

Brodie smiled at the gesture. As unfamiliar as Terra and this world were from this perspective, she still knew them front to back, and she did always have a liking for them.

“Thanks, T-Terra!” she smiled, hesitantly but happily performing the same gesture to him.

“No problem, Aqua! Now walk with me so you don't trip!”

Brodie nodded as they began the walk home. She knew she had a new life ahead of her, and from all that playing of the game, she knew it'd be really hard…

But then again, she wished upon a star and her biggest dream came true, and that was hard to argue with!
Ah, back to the simpler side of the request list! Even if I went a bit overboard with the detail here and there.

So, I've never played a Kingdom Hearts game, but the designs of the characters have always really interested me. Aqua's no exception, and she was definitely a fun one to work with! Her clothing alone was a pretty unique look, and her body structure was just the kind of body structure I enjoy the most in TFs! Also, I know the plot's a tad generic, but between the Disney license and the name of the character, I thought it was the best one I could've really done for her. I haven't Brennan including the game itself in recent stories, anyways.

And, yes, next time I promise I'll try to keep the character awake.

So enjoy my first KH or FF transformation so far, and hope to se more in the future!

Interesting! I liked this. I wonder if Brodie/Aqua will change the plot from here? But I digress. Very good read.
