"It's nice to finally have a step out of the lab!" Black commented.
"Oh, please," Dylan replied, "how will this be any different?"
"Oh, be quiet," Emma said, "save your comments for when we get there."
Dylan, Emma, and Black were all free for a weekend, and with their interests in the technology Black worked with nagging at them, they decided to spend a day at the town's new public science museum. Even though they were all a bit skeptical of what this new place may suddenly hold, they were way too reeled in by the promise of an abundance of futuristic technology and sorts here. They couldn't help but want to visit, especially since many of the projects were created by ordinary citizens interested in this stuff.
"Can we at least sing the Alpharad song while we walk?" Dylan begged Emma.
"DON'T EVEN BRING THAT INTO THIS!" Black quickly said.
"Alright, enough," Emma said, "we're already here."
Going through the doors, they walked into the new place, which was surprisingly big and without a long line.
"Let's see how this 'science' holds up to my set of inventions," Black said to himself.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We're sorry Signas, but there's nothing we can do to revive them properly."
"There has to be! Without them, we may be doomed!"
"Well, what conventional means are there? The only usable parts of them that remain are their memory chips, and there are no good resources available for us anywhere in Abel City, so we just have to…"
"Who said it had to be conventional? And who said Abel City was the only valid location?"
"What are you getting at?"
"Abel City cannot be the only location where science and technology have thrived before, and even if you can't find any conventional resources there, you sometimes need to think outside the box! Where else have you checked?"
"Well, there are a few small towns none of us have checked in the location once known as America, but they've been abandoned long ago, and I highly doubt…"
"He who doubts never wins! Gather the Maverick Hunters and search those locations now!"
"…of course."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"And watch what happens when I shoot at his chest!"
The man demonstrated how shooting the chest with the gun would freeze the entire body neck-down, as the man in the suit collapsed onto the ground like a statue.
"It's like you're there in Ender's Game!"
Everyone watching gave the men a big round of applause, although Black's applause was… less than enthusiastic.
As the trio walked away, Black was being scolded.
"Dude," Dylan started, "that was impressive. You could've at least looked like you were interested for those men."
"They already got plenty of applause!" Black replied, "Besides, it's nowhere near as impressive as the science I work with in my laboratory."
"The serums you work with are chemistry, Black," Emma said back, "this is technology. I bet you don't know the first important thing about technology."
"I do too!" Black said, "Who do you think installed all those masterful doors in my lab?"
"The mechanical ones that seal shut?" Dylan asked, "Pretty sure you had my help with that."
"You held them up while I did all the real work," Black said, "And besides, no science at this museum can be anywhere close to topping my robotic transformation serums."
"We'll find something," Emma said, "just be patient."
They continued to walk through the museum, seeing many more impressive inventions based off of what they saw in movies, but Black was barely impressed by any of it. He felt like he could've picked any of it up and with a few tools, made it better. But he still gave his applause, as he looked around for something better.
And as he clapped for an IRL Mouse Droid, he saw an intriguing door that looked like it was supposed to be hidden.
"Pst… Dylan! Emma!" he whispered, "What do you think is in that green door over there?"
Dylan and Emma looked where Black was looking, to a door labeled "Pending Inventions, DO NOT ENTER".
"Oh yeah," Dylan said, "I see the 'Go Away' sign. Let's obey it."
"Damn it, Black," Emma said, "now I'm intrigued."
"Maybe we can sneak in!" Black said.
After the crown moved out, the trio made fake excuses to stay in the same place until the coast was clear. They leaned against the wall the door was on, and as the janitor stepped out whistling, the three of them made a dash in.
"I'm really scared about this," Dylan whispered once the door completely closed.
"Don't worry," Emma said, "there don't seem to be any security guards in here!"
"Or better inventions," Black said, disappointed.
They walked through a long array of people who didn't seem to care that they'd snuck in, as they tried to impress them with their own inventions not yet approved. Everyone outside this room with an invention wore a nametag, but everyone here had a nametag like "FirstName Incognito", as if they planned for someone to break in. But the inventions here weren't anything special, and even Dylan and Emma couldn't help but feel bored by them.
"I thought these inventions were pending because they were too dangerous or something," Black said, "not too boring!"
That's when one of the inventors felt the chance to shine.
"You call time travel boring?" she called out.
"Time travel?" Black said as he ran up to the girl.
"This… sounds like trouble," Dylan said as he and Emma walked closely behind Black.
The girl walked next to the massive capsule she had apparently built, and stood proudly with her nametag that read "Arianna Incognito".
"So, it's a time machine?" Black said, impressed, "A real time machine?"
"How is that even possible?" Emma asked, unable to grasp the concept of working with time and space.
"I don't even know, miss," Arianna said, "but somehow, I've invented a machine with the ability to transport a small group of people anywhere through time!"
"Does it work?" Dylan asked.
"N… no," Arianna said, "The wiring for these things is extremely complicated, so while this prototype has the ability, it can't use it at the moment. Doesn't even activate."
"Out of my way!" Black said, confidently.
Arianna stood back, confused, as Black opened up the little panel she'd implanted in the time machine. There were tons of wires, and they seemed to be color-coordinated for the most part, but they were all tangled up in a messy knot. But Black quickly got it all untangled, and with the muscle left in his strained hands, he did his best to successfully connect everything together.
"Flip the power," Black said, "my hands no longer can."
Arianna flipped the lever on the time machine, causing it to light up and make interesting noises from the inside.
"Oh my god," she said, "you're a genius!"
"Indeed," Black responded, looking proudly at Dylan and Emma as he said it.
"Would you like to be my first volunteers, then?" Arianna asked, "I'll give you some credit for your contributions!"
"We'd love to," Black said before Dylan or Emma could talk. He walked into the time machine, and his friends followed.
"Let's just stay safe," Dylan said as the door slowly shut, "and go, maybe, a year into the future."
"Alright!" Arianna said as she arranged the correct time for them. There was a setup on the inside, but she kept an external one for demonstrations, not that she expected to have them today.
She entered the correct text she'd laid out for one year later, hoping this would work.
"Press the button inside the wall!" she called into the machine.
They looked on the wall for what she was talking about, and found a little hole you'd stick your finger into, and sure enough, there was a button inside.
Black pressed it, and sure enough, the rods on the top of the machine began to circulate electricity at a high rate, and lit up brightly.
"Yes!" Arianna said, "It's working!"
"We're coming for you, future!" Black said.
"Let's see how bad the Earth is, by this point!" Dylan and Emma both said.
The light and electricity on the machine reached its peak, and after a few second, it just dead stopped. Arianna opened up the door, and the three friends were all gone.
"I made a time machine!" Arianna said with glee.
"Quite the achievement!" she heard.
Looking in front of her, startledly, she noticed that by this time, everyone in the room was here in the audience.
"And it's all thanks to that boy who can connect wires like a pro!" she said.
"Can I take a look?" someone said, coming up, "My dad's an engineer, and I've learned a few things from him."
The boy opened up the panel, smiling at the impressive work on the wires. But then the smiles quickly turned into sadness, and fright.
"What about these wires?"
"What?" Arianna said, coming up to him.
Yeah, there were two wires that were kind of hard to see because they were underneath the metal, but they weren't connected at all. Arianna knew about these wires, they were what helped the machine determine the time the people in it would be sent to. Without them connected, the time inputs… meant nothing.
"That's bad…" Arianna said, scared.

"That's one problem down," X said as he carried around a few containers of serum, "but where can we find subjects?"
Signas's orders weren't in vain, as the town that X looked through contained some sort of laboratory that held up surprisingly well. After busting down the door, he found tons of serums in the cabinets there, each somehow familiarly named after Mavericks and hunters. X still didn't know if they did what he thought they would do, but when he saw serums labeled after the three hunters he needed, he just had to take them. If he was correct with these, they were designed to transform someone into the person of robot labeled.
The problem now was who to use it on, because there were no humans in sight!
"Hello?" he heard from far away.
"Who was that?" X said, turning around.
Looking ahead, he saw a small building that held up surprisingly well. He saw big letters labeled "TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY MASTERPIECES", but he didn't know if he was to expect danger or life.
"Hello?" he heard again, a bit louder this time.
"I should get a few more hunters," X said as he began to contact some more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Anyone?" Emma called out.
"Face it, Emma," Dylan said, "no one in this… um, post-nuclear museum will hear us."
"Well we have to try!" Black said.
After coming out of the time machine, the trio found themselves in a big glass case the time machine was in. This glass was really sturdy and hard to break through, so they were all trapped in the capsule while they waited for whatever to come next.
"Maybe we can reverse this?" Emma said as they all stepped back in the time machine, looking for something that may fix something, but there was nothing. In fact, even the button was covered up, so everything was changed to keep it on display. What a shame.
"Well, we're trapped," Dylan said, hopeless, "but maybe…"
Before he could even continue, the three of them were all startled and frightened by the sudden sound of glass breaking. Indeed, all the glass that was surrounding them immediately broke, and the result was a loud explosion of sound that scared all of them.
"What just happened?" Dylan asked as he and Black jumped down from the time machine.
"Guys, wait," Emma said, "I'm pretty sure it's safer to stay insIDE!"
"Emma?" Black said in a panic, as he watched her suddenly rocket up to the wall.
Dylan and Black watched Emma helplessly hover in midair near the ceiling, and then watched as the source of this slowly appeared, revealing itself to be a giant robot chameleon. It quickly scurried away with her.
"Hey," Black said, running where it was going, "you get off of HER!"
"Black!" Dylan said, as he watched a giant robot eagle swoop in and fly off with Black.
Dylan tried to run anywhere, but before he could get very far, he found himself in the air, helpless.
"Get off of me!" Dylan yelled at whatever had him.
"Trust me," he heard, "this is necessary for the world."
Dylan looked ahead, to see a familiar blue robot in front of him.
"X?!" he said in shock.
"Sting Hornet," X said, "take him to the HQ. I'll meet you there."
"No!" Dylan shouted, "Let me go!"
X flashed his blue armor into a more pinkish color. Aiming at Dylan, he shot a tranquilizer at his knee, which would knock him unconscious.
Sting Hornet lifted Dylan higher into the air, and Dylan watched as X teleported out of the museum before going out cold. The hornet accelerated in speed, as it needed to go a long way.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Dylan awoke, he was standing up for some reason, unable to move anything but his head. As he looked around with it, he came to realize that he was actually in an anti-gravity chamber, but restrained by whatever force was holding him. But what caught his attention more was when he realized he was left completely naked.
"Where am I?" he asked, not expecting an answer.
"Dylan?" he heard Black say.
"How did we even get here?" he heard Emma say, "And what's even going on today?"
"You're our test subjects, of course!" they heard a voice say.
"Who are you?" Dylan asked.
A man walked out of a door on the left, and turned to face them.
"You can call me Signas. You three are required to be my subjects for an important test."
"What are you even talking about?" Emma asked.
"Three of our most important Maverick Hunters were killed recently," Signas continued, "and without them, the fate of the world seems bleak. We've exhausted every other possible way to bring them back, and all we're left with is the injection of humans with serums."
Three robot minions came out of nowhere, each holding a familiar looking needle.
"Hey!" Black said, "Those are my serums!"
"Your serums?" Signas said, a tad surprised, "Well then I suppose you wouldn't mind if they were used to save the…"
"You can't just take a human life for an injection like this!" Black continued, "Don't you even feel any…"
"My feelings may be a bit mixed at the moment," Signas said, "but there's no time to waste deciding. I cannot let my emotions get in the way of success, and whatever you did to work with chemistry like this, your contributions to science are of great importance!"
"But… you can't… uh…"
Black couldn't continue what he was saying, as the three of them were once again sent out cold through tranquilizers. The Sniper Joes proceeded to open up the respective chambers and quickly inject the serums into each of them, at the chest where they would prove the most effective. Signas then stood back, and watched as science did its work.
As the serums flowed through their blood streams, they were quickly distributed throughout the entireties of their bodies, while resting still like a virus before its attack phase. After they had been distributed evenly enough, the attack phase began.
The phase began with the outside, starting with their skin. Their was slowly hardening and becoming colder, as whatever body hair was growing from it was quickly absorbed. Their skin was eventually as hard and cold as any normal metal would be, and was made a little compressed so it could extend a few inches at their torsos, legs, and arms. Where their joints were, at their elbows, knees, etc., they opened up and reshaped in a way that would still allow them to move properly. A little deeper inside, their fat and muscle supplies burned up into nothing, leaving their bodies much skinnier than before.
The real visible changes happened at the torsos, where the needles were injected. Dylan's torso slowly grew a layer of gray armor, flexible enough to not restrain him. At his chest, a bulky piece of red armor with some yellow at the neck formed, along with a couple of green orbs and a ventilation system in front. On Emma's torso, a layer of flexible black armor formed, and at the chest, a layer of pink armor formed, which was darker around the neck and bottom. A green gem formed at the upper area, and holes formed where her breasts were, as they became covered in a layer of white armor that protruded to resemble them. Black's torso was covered in a layer of flexible gray armor, with a few vertical red stripes. At the chest, black armor formed with a few more red stripes, and a gray lining at his neck. A blue gem formed at the center, surrounded by gray metal and underneath was some orange. And from his back, two long, white, pointed extensions came out, retractable like wings.
Their arms and shoulders were changing next. Dylan's arms and shoulders were now gaining black armor, as thicker, more flexible white armor covered his hands like gloves. Red and white shoulder plates formed at his shoulders, with a stylish Z on his left one. Bulkier, almost cannon-shaped red armor formed at his upper arms, with white armor lining it at the wrists. Emma's arms and shoulders were soon sporting the same black armor on her torso, as her hands gained the same glove armor Dylan now had. More ball-shaped pink armor formed at her shoulders, with some white protruding from them. At her upper arms, thick pink cannon-like armor formed, darker near the elbows, with green orbs on top and some more white coming out. Black's arms gained the same gray armor his torso had, and his hands gained the same glove-like armor. At his shoulders, black armor with a red stripe formed, pointing outwards like blades and being lined with orange. At his upper arms, cannon-like black armor formed, with a red stripe going down.
The changes moved down to their waists. Dylan's was covered in gray armor like his torso, but also another thin layer of white armor that covered up his waist, hips, and crotch like tights or something. Emma's waist was simply covered in the same black armor as her torso, like a continuation straight down. Black's waist was covered in more gray armor, with a small layer of black armor with a red stripe down the middle and blue screws all around. And underneath all that armor, the human privates they had to clarify their genders slowly disappeared, as it would mean nothing to the new forms they would be taking.
Next was their legs. Dylan's legs were growing a layer of black armor, which went right down to his feet and covered them down to the toes. On top, massive pieces of armor were forming on his lower legs and feet, in the form of red armor with white lining the top and yellow lining the bottom, with white screw-like pieces of metal connecting them to the massive red foot-shaped armor with white tips. On the tops where the knees were, white blade-like pieces formed. Emma took on a very similar approach, as her legs and feet were covered in black armor. Her lower legs were covered in darker red armor with white blade-like pieces on top, as her feet were covered with white armor that allowed her feet to bend at the pink armor that went around her feet like a stripe. Black's legs and feet were covered in gray armor like the rest of his body, as his lower legs and feet were covered in armor much like Dylan's, only it was all black with a red stripe down the middle and some white at the sides.
The Adam's apples in Dylan's and Black's necks burned up as all of their necks were coated in armor, black on Dylan and Emma and gray on Black, as the changes finally hit their heads. Their heads reshaped a bit, becoming rounder as their chins became a bit less prominent. Their mouths shrunk a bit, as their lips shrunk until they were no longer visible. Their noses also took dramatic shrinkage, as they became very tiny on their faces. Just above Black's nose, his face was gaining a big X-shaped scar. Their eyes rounded out and increased in size a good amount, with Emma's irises expanding especially, as their black irises became blue. On Dylan's head, a white helmet with red pointing out on the sides formed, as a blue gem appeared in front. There was still a small hole in back, which was utilized when his brown hair extended through it and thickened a great amount, lightening as it became prominent as a massive blond ponytail. Emma gained a pink and white headset on her head, as her blonde hair extended back in good lengths until it went down to her neck, with a few bangs in front. Black gained a black helmet with some red in front and white protruding from the sides, and a blue gem in the center. His black and red hair changed to auburn, as it went down through the hole at the bottom of the helmet and then extended into a spiky look that pointed outwards.
And now that the outsides were taken care of, their insides were taking drastic changes. Their bones became much stronger metal and bionics, which reshaped and repurposed to be able to support the heavier bodies they were now given. Their nerves reshaped into wires that would support the computer system their new selves would require to stay active. The blood vessels and blood pumping the serum were reshaping and changing into a fuel system, which would stay charged through the heart, as it became a working battery. Their unnecessary organs, like their lungs and livers, became metal as they reshaped and repurposed into other more minor things they would require. In their throats, which underwent truly unexplainable changes, mechanical voice boxes formed to allow them regular speech. Finally, their brains stems expanded and reshaped into the perfect surfaces to utilize what their brains would become. They disconnected from their eyes, which were now mechanical and connected through the wires that formed from their nerves. Their brains then became metal, and shrunk down dramatically, reshaping into memory discs that would carry all the main data they would operate by, as their memories and emotions were converted to data to be used on it.
The transformations were complete, and the chambers were all opened up. Dylan, Emma, and Black were taken from them, and laid out on a metal table.
"I can't believe it," Signa said, "those serums were a complete success!"
Signa looked down at the perfect replications of Zero, Alia, and Axl. They were completely fresh and without any signs of damage.
"Signa," X said, walking in, "how did the serums… oh my, they worked!"
"Fortunately," Signa said, "and they will be back in action pretty shortly. Go fetch Alia's coat while I get their new data chips."

"And because it jump-started the scientifically incredible concept of time-travel, we are happy to give Arianna Incognito's original time travel capsule a prominent display in the Museum of Twenty-First Century Masterpieces."
Arianna accepted the trophy she was given in honor of her invention, as the entire crowd in front of her cheered for her.
"So Arianna, you're sure you want to be remembered by your pseudonym?"
"Of course."
"Okay then! And before we send you back into the crowd, are there any people in particular you'd like to thank?"
"Well, the day I realized my time machine was fully functional was the day a black-haired boy conducted most of the wiring I lacked the knowledge of. And while he and his friends never did return that day, he was certainly a bold scientist from what he knew about my machine, and I'll just say this: His contributions to science were of great importance."

I've got a special one here, with all your favorite X characters! And Axl.
Glad to do a triple TF again, and this one turned out one of my favorites! I was given three OCs to work with, so I made the logical step of trying to develop good character in all of them. And while it completely lacks the post-reaction, I think this turned out to be one of my best stories, and one that's a great fanfiction-original hybrid, in line with all my others!
By the way, arceefan16 previously asked to be in a Zero TF, and while she didn't transform, I made her an important character! That counts, right?
So enjoy my first Mega Man TF in a while, and expect two more ambitious stories on the way soon!
