NOTE: The three characters in the above pic are listed from left to right: Machina, Alines, and Rabina-Lop. For a better quality, full-body reference pic, I'd suggest this link:

"Your defenses are no match for my magic!" Rachel shouted as she jumped high into the air and blasted a wave of fire at Mary.

But Mary responded quickly and blocked the attack with a barrier.

"Oh, what words, you brainless hare!" she shouted back, "The only thing less true is your magic!"

"We'll see about that, you mechanical failure!"

It was quite the battle the two were having. After all, there were differences that were always setting these two magical girls apart, despite their constant needs to team up to stop evil, and it was about time they settled it all with a fight of their wits and powers. Rachel was the sorceress type with animalistic attributes and equipped with her magical prowess that kept Mary at a distance, but Mary's outstanding defenses and robotic arsenal helped her through much of it.

It was the battle to determine which magical girl could stand up against the most constant barrage of magical attacks. A truly epic brawl.

"Well, get a load of this!" Rachel shouted, as she jumped in the air and launched a ball of fire directly at Mary's face.

"Ow!" Mary yelled, "Hey, that's no fair! You can't just aim for the face like that!"

"Not my fault, you should've blocked it fast enough!"

"I don't have much to…"

"You're hoarding half of the pillows for your 'shield'!"

Well, at least that's how epic it looked in their minds.

"You can't get me," Rachel said as she jumped onto the bed, "when I have the high grounds!"

"Well, I can!"

"Woah!"

With that, their other friend Alice rolled out from underneath the bed, and she quickly got up to sweep Rachel onto her back. And before Mary could react, she ran towards her and swiped her with her "weapon".

"Now we know who's really the best on the team!" she bragged.

"But this was our thing!" Rachel replied, "We didn't even know you were under there!"

"But we're at my house!" Alice responded.

"We thought you were in the bathroom or something!" Mary countered.

"Exactly!" Alice said, "The art of surprise is the one that always catches the victims off-guard, any real warrior should know that!"

"Fair point…"

"Regardless, we're not meant to fight over which magical girl is the best, because the best always team up to solve problems instead of work against each other!"

And with that, the three of them did a three-way fist pound, and kept their fists in the position until they were sure their message was established.

As you could've already guessed, the three of these girls were obsessed with the magical girl genre of anime. They always enjoyed everything about the genre, from its colorful and relatable cast of characters to its sense of teamwork involved. And of course, most of all they loved the epic scenes that always took place, where they got to see their favorite characters whip out their fancy clothes and powers and engage in awesome fight scenes against the monsters they work together to defeat.

So, obviously they tried to duplicate it themselves. The three of them literally developed their own magical girl personas and even planned out their basic fighting styles: Alice was quick and nimble, Rachel was a long-ranged "magician", and Mary played defensive. And it wouldn't have looked so out-of-hand if they didn't "practice" like this so frequently!

Either way, they always had a lot of fun with their magical girl fights, and they never let anything try and break them up. Plus, it established a strong bond between them, which was kind of necessary, considering they were each a couple of years apart…

"So…" Rachel started, "what now?"

That's when they heard the bedroom door open.

"So that's where all the pillows went," Alice's brother Elijah said, "again. Look, I understand you…"

"Get out of here," Mary quickly shot out, "can't you read these days?"

"The 'No Boys Alowed' sign doesn't really mean anything in 2015," Elijah responded, "especially since you're all older than eleven…"

"I'm fifteen, and I want you out as well!" Rachel said, beginning to pelt him, "We don't have time for boys like you!"

"Alright, geez!" Elijah said, giving up, as he closed the door.

"Victory once again!" Mary exclaimed.

Mary and Rachel then got ready for battle once again, but Alice still felt a little wrong about the ordeal.

"You sure we weren't being a little harsh there? He was just asking for…"

"That's how he wants you to feel!" Mary protested, "He disobeyed the sign, he's got to be the villain!"

"You didn't even spell 'Allowed' right…"

"That's not the point!" Rachel continued, "We're self-aware magical girls, meaning we should all know by now that any male characters are either the villain or one of our fathers!"

"There are a lot of exceptions to that."

"Regardless, why should we trust your brother? He doesn't know anything about the art of the genre, and even if he did, he'd make fun of us for it!"

"Yeah!" Mary joined it, "Boys and the genre don't mix!"

Neither of them looked ready to give up on their opinions, so Alice simply gave up and let them all continue.

"Whatever," she said, "where were we?"

"Well," Mary started, "we were… wait, what day is it?"

"Thursday?" Rachel responded, confused.

"What time?" she asked, a bit concerned.

"Uh…" Rachel mumbled, checking her phone, "five to ten."

"Do you not remember what's on at ten?"

"What are you… oh, of course, turn on the TV!"

Alice hurried to her television and turned it on, and after tuning on to the right channel, she used the last few moments to optimize the screen and room, they wanted the best conditions for this…

"Can't believe the show is ending so quickly…"

"Why not? That's how they keep the story so compact and…"

"Shut up, it's starting!"

The bell rang, and all of the students in school were dismissed to lunch.

Elijah wandered through the halls to the cafeteria, past the kids that were surprisingly few in numbers in hallways during this time of the day. Nothing too major, he was able to walk right past most of them.

But as he walked past the kids, he came across one that was walking rather slowly, with a familiar hairstyle and even the same… yep, it was his sister. His sister was walking slowly.

Elijah walked up to Alice, who was awake, but not all that much, as she wandered aimlessly.

"Alice?" he asked, "You still alive in there?"

"WOAH!" Alice exclaimed, "Oh… it's just you. Yeah, sorry about last night…"

"Eh, I'm used to it," Elijah asked, "But are you alright today? You seem a little out of it."

"I'm fine, just a little tired is all."

"Why? How long did you and your friends stay up last night?"

"I don't know… eleven?"

"On a Thursday night? That's just bad."

"The new episode we were watching was a two-parter, okay?"

Elijah sighed. He really needed to talk to her about this.

"Yeah, about that," he started, "I was gonna ask what made you and your friends even like those shows so much."

"Well, why wouldn't we?" Alice responded, "The animation is unique., the characters and story are complex, and we just can't get enough of those fight scenes!"

"Yeah," Elijah responded, "I can tell by how seriously you were taking your little game last night…"

"Well, when we like the characters and their powers, obviously we'd want to try it ourselves!"

"Well, none of that explains their problem with boys!"

Alice had to think for a moment before responding.

"You wouldn't understand," she told him, "I guess it's just a sense of pride."

"Could you elaborate?" Elijah asked.

"Well, you know that old phrase 'girl power'?"

"Oh boy…"

"Well, that's just what happens when we watch those shows! These heroines are even more complex than regular ones, and none of them are sexualized to the point of…"

"Oh, I see, because the animes are targeting you as an audience."

"Exactly! And since the genre doesn't expand to the male varieties, I guess our girl pride goes to the point of thinking that boys are an inferior race…"

The two of them took a few moments to process what she just said.

"Wow," Elijah eventually said, "I can't even comprehend how…"

"I'm sorry, okay?" Alice quickly said, "That was an exaggeration… I guess it's just that we've never seen the genre work with boys before."

"And that's where your girl pride comes from."

"Indeed."

"Well, it's still pretty weird… maybe if I talked to them now…"

"Rachel has lab period and Mary's still in middle school."

"Oh… well, whatever the case, I just wish they'd learn to respect my gender."

"Well, I'll think about what you said, it might mean something to them."

By now, they'd reached the cafeteria, and they set their backpacks down to get some lunch.

They parted ways after that, leaving them both alone to their own thoughts.

Elijah felt a bit relieved that the girls probably weren't serious in their thoughts, they just liked to think their own ways… and they were thinking those ways often, considering how often they saw each other!

In fact, he remembered hearing that his sister would be with them again tonight, this time at Rachel's house… and it was Friday, so they'd be staying up even later! But he could only hope the girls would act a bit more mature.

"Alice, I don't care how surprising you are, there's no attacking during a transformation!"

"Just because no one's questioned it doesn't mean it makes sense!"

"It's not supposed to!"

Well, they were all doing mostly the same stuff over at Rachel's house. And again, this time no one expected them to fall asleep early. Truly a chaotic night it was.

They basically battled for about another hour before getting a bit tired of it for tonight.

"So…" Mary started, "what should we do now? I'm not exactly tired yet…"

"Anything on tonight?" Alice asked.

"Nah," Rachel responded, "just reruns for the most part."

"Wanna go outside?" Mary asked, "it looks like a great night to relax out there."

Rachel got up in response and went to the window to open it up.

"Eh, seems cool enough," she said, "I'll grab a few chairs from the garage."

The three of them went downstairs to the garage to get them before heading out the front door. They found a good place on the front lawn to lie down and put the chairs there.

"It actually does feel like a nice night for this," Alice said as she sat down on her chair, "good thinking, Mary!"

"Thanks!" Mary responded, "Just keep track of the time."

The three of them basically lied down on their chairs for a while, staring up at the stars that shone down on them to provide a small amount of light. At this hour, they really did look gorgeous up there, almost like there were constellations made for them…

"Could the sky look any more beautiful?" Rachel asked.

"Wait," Mary said, "I think you spoke too soon!"

The three of them looked up in the sky, and saw what Mary noticed.

"A shooting star?" Rachel said, "That's not something you see every night."

"But… what's up with this one?" Alice asked, confused.

The three of them looked more closely at it, and that's when they realized that this was a very… intriguing shooting star they had.

Other than the fact that is was traveling rather slowly for one, almost like it was waiting for them to wish, but it actually gave off a look of magic to grant it… as in, the trail it gave off had a slight effect in the flame, and the glow it gave off kind of gave off a little extra around it… whatever the case, that extra glow didn't look the same color as the rest of the stars.

It didn't look like an ordinary shooting star, that was for sure.

"Hey," Mary said, "you guys don't think… what I'm thinking, do you?"

"What would that be?" Rachel asked.

"That the shooting star is… actually magical."

"That's kind of a rough guess," Alice said.

But by the looks of it, the shooting star was… pretty convincing.

"You now what?" Rachel said, "We've always wanted the chance to live out our fantasies, and whether the star is real or not, we'll take the chances we can get!"

"Hmm…" Mary mumbled, "fair point, we all know what to wish for!"

"Y… yes, of course!" Alice responded, stuttering a bit.

"And… synchronize wishes in our heads…" Rachel said, "NOW!"

They closed their eyes, and for ten seconds, they imagined their wishes in their heads, trying to focus on as many minor details as possible by cutting out some of the obvious… not that they thought it mattered.

Needless to say, their wishes all revolved around the same idea, although a few of them included some additional perks…

"Everyone finished?" Rachel eventually asked.

"We certainly are!" Mary responded, "So how much farther is that gonna go?"

"Well," Rachel said, going into scientific mode, "if it came from that way, it must've already traveled a long distance… but if it's that high up, certainly it will…"

"Hey professor," Alice said, a bit worriedly, "could you explain what happens when it looks like it's getting bigger?"

"They're faraway objects, meaning they're getting… closer?"

Mary and Rachel looked up to the shooting star again, and much to their fear, it was, indeed, getting much closer to the ground rather quickly.

"Well…" Rachel said softly, terrified, "we have ourselves a meteorite…"

"GET INSIDE!" Alice shouted, grabbing Rachel by the arm.

The four made it inside safely and quickly scurried upstairs to get a better view of the meteorite. It was certainly coming down, although it's trajectory wasn't exactly aiming for the house… thankfully.

But when it did crash, it caused a rumble that knocked all three girls to the floor.

"Ow…" Mary complained, "I wasn't ready for that!"

"What did you expect?" Rachel said, "It's a meteorite, obviously it'll cause a little quake!"

"Do you think we should check it out?"

"Sure, if you want to get potentially killed from space radiation…"

"Hey, Rachel?" Alice asked as she looked out the window, "Would space radiation have a glow this colorful?"

"What are you talking about?" Rachel asked as she and Mary walked over.

Looking out the window, they realized what Alice was talking about: the meteorite was giving off a glow that didn't look radioactive in any way. Instead, it flashed between a multitude of more vibrant colors, as if it was magic or something…

And there were even the same sparkles as the trail still visible on the ground, so it only heightened the girls' hypes.

"I don't care about you guys," Mary said, running out the bedroom door, "but I'm checking that thing out!"

"Mary," Rachel called out, running after her with Alice, "wait up! You can't!"

"We don't know if it's safe yet!"

But it was too late. Mary had already dashed downstairs, and before the others could make it downstairs, they heard the front door slam shut. They needed to hurry, but Mary's head start made it useless.

And by the time they made it outside, Mary was already digging through the meteorite.

"Mary!" Rachel shouted, both angrily and worriedly, "What the hell?! Do you even know what's in that thing?"

Mary turned around, only she was holding a few gems in her hands.

"Apparently a bunch of treasure!" she said, excitedly.

"What?" Alice and Rachel said in unison as they walked up, "Treasure?"

Once they reached Mary, they took a close look at what she was mentioning: in her hand were three glowing gems. They didn't look dangerous, and appeared to be colored after the American flag in a way, with one red, one white, and one blue. That was probably a coincidence, but it still peaked their interest.

"Wait a sec," Mary said, surprised, "I just noticed something you can't call a coincidence…"

"And what would that be?"

"Look closely at the gems…"

They did just that, not understanding what Mary was talking about. They expected she wanted them to find something like a different color in a certain spot, or something along those lines…

But no. After a bit of searching, they both gasped to find the real surprise. They noticed a little bit of carving on each of the gems, and when they looked closer at it, they noticed that they were actually letters being carved… "A" on the blue gem, "R" on the red one, and "M" on the white one.

"That's so weird," Rachel said, "they spell arm, like the arm of a…"

"They're us, Rachel," Alice corrected, "the first letters of our names!"

Rachel widened her eyes to that. That was a pretty surprising thing to hear…

"Well," Rachel started, "it could just be a funny…"

"Open your eyes, Rachel!" Mary interrupted, "A shooting star with a magical trail flies by over us and crash lands right where we are, only to give off an unnatural glow to store the gems that apparently go with what we all wished for, and they even have letters carved in them to represent us! What other proof do you need?!"

"… I think you're right, we've encountered magic!"

All three girls were getting giddy, and whatever bizarre coincidence of magic there was tonight, it really was playing in their favors. If this was really supposed to grant their biggest wishes, they needed to try them out.

"To my room," Rachel said as she took her gem, "we NEED to put these to the test!"

Alice grabbed her gem and followed Rachel to her room with Mary. All three of them were all set for this, and they had all the motivation they needed to put these gems to the test.

Once they were in Rachel's room, she closed the door and turned the lights off. The glow of the gems almost illuminated the room, and gave enough light that they wouldn't be bumping into each other.

"You guys ready?" Mary asked.

"As I've always been!" Rachel exclaimed.

"Oh, please work…" Alice whispered, before saying, "I'm ready!"

"Then let's press our gems together!"

Holding the gems in between their middle and ring fingers, they clenched their fists and thruster them in a way that it would end up in a three-way fist pound, meaning the gems would all be colliding. Just like they've always been doing, they kept their hands in that position for a few moments.

Until finally, the gems bursted open into a flash of light that indicated that there was no turning back now.

As the white light faded, the three of them were able to see each other just fine, but they all appeared to be traveling through some sort of portal because all they could see other than each other was blue… and blue as in blue colors speeding past them!

But more prominently, they were all in the same position, standing still and holding their arms out to their sides, because there was magical presence lurking over their skin and clothes. And it was clearly visible, lighting up the same colors as the gems they had to look like almost some sort of liquid covering certain parts…

And after a few moments, that's when they realized that they were receiving their new clothing. And Sailor Moon style. Sweet.

The magical presence on Alice centered its attention over her shirt and pants, as well as on her head and hands and at her shoes. From there, everyone watched as the magic covering her shirt and pants suddenly merged them together. Her pants were down to her feet, but the magic from her knees down disappeared to reveal nothing there but her legs, as the rest of the pant legs were combined to form what looked like a skirt. The magic also concentrated on her shirt more, as from the neckline, something was thickening, and something was forming… also, the magic at her sleeves disappeared to reveal none left. The magic at her hands covered them up a little farther down, and on her head, it extended out into a rounder shape atop it. And at her shoes, the magic extended up to her knees.

As all this was happening, Rachel's clothing was taking a bit of a different approach. Like Alice, the magic covering her shirt and pants merged them into one article, but the magic on her entire legs disappeared, as well as one her arms, leaving one big chunk of magic from her shoulders to between her legs. The magic covering her hands went much farther down than Alice's did, a bit past her elbows, in fact, although the magic at her shoes didn't even reach her knees. Like Alice, there was magic forming a rounded shape atop her head, but there was also some magic forming in front of her own eyes, and back at her torso, there was surplus magic forming another layer at her shoulders. And from her back, one long extension of it reached down to her feet.

And Mary was having the oddest time of them all. The magic mostly collected on her head and around it, as something decently sized was being formed on it. Just like that, a few layers of the magic coating formed by her chest, extending to both sides of it. But the rest was an odd route to take. At each of her sides, a big mass was being built up by the magic, which was almost as tall as she was. But strangest of all was the fact that the rest of the magic coating actually covered up every inch of her skin, disabling her vision as it sank her clothing in.

Once the magical coatings covered everything that needed to be covered, it all began to jump off like water from a wet towel being shaken, revealing their new clothing.

Alice sported blue boots on her feet that went up to her knees, as well as blue gloves with a yellow trim and a round yellow hat on her head. Her shirt and pants were now one thing, as her pants took the shape of a short blue skirt with a white lining, and her shirt was now white and sleeveless with a collar, a red tie, and a bit of extra shirt hanging off each side… not exactly like sleeves, just some extra cloth that went a little up one side of each arm… pretty hard to explain.

Rachel had shorter red boots, and her red gloves went down to her elbows. In front, her shirt and pants were now a red bare-legs jumpsuit, with yellow shoulder plates as armor and a big red cape to go along with it. At her eyes, a thin pair of glasses formed, and on her head, a red hat formed, with bits of yellow metal sticking out on either side.

On Mary's head was held a metal helmet, and one that covered her forehead with a thick layer of white armor (and a green gem, and a few yellow extensions), as well as the sides of her head. At her chest, a thick layer of greenish gray metal was covering it up, with two orange slots that she didn't know what to make of. The two massive objects to her sides were revealed to be what looked like a massive set of mechanical wings, white with a slot on each and a yellow line around each one. But the rest of her skin was covered up with a white and ductile sheet of white metal that began sinking into her skin.

Once everything was revealed, the girls all looked at each other in surprise…

"Ohh," Alice said excitedly, looking down at herself, "looks like I'm blessed with the classic schoolgirl outfit!"

"What about me?" Rachel asked, just as excitedly, "Does the cape make me look like a mage?"

"I think sorceress is the right word," Alice responded, "and I've gotta say, those glasses really make you look…"

"AH!" Mary shouted, as electric sparks became visible from the metal.

"Woah… Mary, is that… metal on your skin?"

"Yeah, what did you wish for in particular?"

Once Mary's mouth was able to talk again, she had to explain.

"Well," she said, "I… wanted to have more advanced defense and weaponry as my trait, so…"

"You wished yourself a robot?" Alice finished.

Indeed, the metal that had previously covered her skin had effectively fused with it, replacing her organic human skin with this ductile material that lacked all her old one's capabilities, but that would be remedied soon.

"Heh, that does look really cool," Alice said, trying to scratch her hand, "I guess we all have our own tastes in…"

"What's with your hand?" Mary interrupted, noticing Alice's constant scratching there.

Rachel remained silent and looked away as Alice took her glove, causing her and Mary to gasp at a hint a hint of light blue fur growing.

"Why am I growing fur on my hand?" she said, confused.

That's when she and Mary stared down Rachel, who sweat a bit in embarrassment.

"Well," she started, "I wanted to expand the animal characteristics by actually being one, but I figured that it would be really off to have one animal in a trio of humans, so…"

Alice could only watch as the fur on her hand began to spread down her arm, and her other arm as well, where it was actually light blue on one side and white on the other. It was kind of a thin coating, but Alice got a pretty warm feeling from it.

"Creative thinker," Alice said, smiling, "it's like upgrades to come with our powers!"

But the changes on her arms didn't stop there. Once they were covered, the relatively slender take on her arms became even more defined as they thinned out even more. They and her hands also started to shrink down in size, and her decently long nails grew just a pinch more and sharpened into claws. Some of the skin on her fingers and palms also thickened out and protruded a bit, becoming pink and making her hands almost like paws. And Rachel's arms and hands went through very similar changes, only they were covered with brown fur and were much more slender than Alice's, and a tad longer.

But Mary's arms and hands were taking dramatic shifts. Looking at them, she widened her eyes to find that the metal that was her hands was bulking up, and rounding out to the point that her fingers were completely gone from existence. After rounding out to a more circular shape, her "nubs" flattened at the ends as the rest of her arm metal bulked out and reshaped to almost an angle. In addition, the metal making up where her elbows once were was opened up around the arms, but the two parts of her arm quickly reconnected via a white screw that allowed her to bend them.

She could only look on confused, but she had some clarity when the "nubs" of her arms darkened from white to the same greenish gray on her chest. The color spread a few inches down, and much like her elbows, the nubs separated from the rest of her arms.

"Wait, are these hooves?" Mary asked as she pressed them together.

It really was a weird feeling for her not to have fingers or hands, especially when she could feel the last organic parts of her arms and hands slowly undergoing robotification from the inside… she could already tell when her bones were metallized.

Once their arms were all done changing, their feet began to get the same tingly feeling they knew was the trigger.

Alice's feet were growing fur like her arms, with white on the tops and blue every other part of them. The fur quickly spread up her legs in the same pattern, as they shortened down a good extent and gained some muscle in the process for better running. Her feet also gained the same pads and claws as her hands did. Rachel's feet and legs went through similar processes, but her feet ended up smaller and her legs longer. Brown fur covered them up as her legs also shrunk and shortened a bit, although they ended up less slender than Alice's. Meanwhile, Mary's feet rounded out in shape and bulked out until they were like her hands in every way. Once they changed color to match, her legs followed suit, as they reshaped and shortened in length to be almost identical to her arms, minus the difference in bulk her thighs had. And just like her elbows, her knees were given the separation treat, net and reconnection before her inner organs became just as mechanical as in her arms to work with her new walking methods well. Speaking of which, her sudden lack of toes triggered her feet to completely lose balance, sending her onto all fours.

The changes quickly spread up their legs, underneath all their clothes. The blue fur spread up Alice's back and sides, while white fur covered her belly up. The brown fur from Rachel's legs covered  her entire torso up. Speaking of torsos, they all shrunk down in size a good amount to match their much smaller arms and legs and also shortened down (their clothing shrunk to stay fit with it all) until they were all about half of their original sizes and heights, much less for Mary. The fat in their torsos also redistributed, as their stomachs and chests soon had even amounts of fat, their breasts now sunken back into their bodies.

"Something's a bit off about those changes…" Rachel said, a bit confused on what went on in her torso.

"Nah," Alice assured, "we're probably just regressing age!"

"Easy for you to say…" Mary said, commenting on the mechanical changes going on in her chest, where her more vital organs were, by now, most of her bones and muscle had become metal and reshaped to work with her new form, but organs like her heart and lungs also needed to repurpose.

The three of them also felt a sudden buildup just above their rear ends. For Alice, her spine was extending outwards from underneath her skirt in the form of a blue cat tail with white fur at the tip. The pink magic coating was also back for a few moments to materialize a red bow on the end. Rachel also had her spine extend, but only every so slightly in the form of a short rabbit's tail hidden underneath her jumpsuit. Mary had a different situation, as metallic fibers materialized from just above her rear and shaped themselves into what looked like a pony's tail. With a few tiny adjustments, they worked as a new body part she could control.

"Oh my god," Rachel said giddily, staring at Alice's tail, "we're gonna be so adorable!"

"Well…" Alice started, blushing a bit to that, "still badass in our own rights! Right Mary?"

"I'm pretty sure!" Mary said, "But you'll still be the cutest cat I know!"

Alice only blushed harder to that, which hardly mattered since the changes were hitting their heads.

For Alice, her general face area was covered up in white fur as her head rounded out in shape for the most part. Her teeth sharpened up and her nose shrunk in size dramatically, as it blackened and rounded out. It also pushed her face out into a small and hardly visible but present muzzle, which did protrude her cheeks out a bit like on a cat's face. Her ears pointed into triangular shapes and went atop her head. Her eyes also rounded in shape and expanded in size like she'd been waiting for, before glistening from brown to yellow. Her black hair then changed color to the same shade of blue as on her clothes (her eyebrows did the same and thickened) before thickening and growing out. A couple of bangs hung on her forehead, and at the lower sides, her hair covered her cheeks up and pointed outwards like a cat's face.

Rachel's head also became rounder in shape before her face was covered up in brown fur. Her nose shrunk down in size and became pink before reshaping like Alice's and pushing out into a bit of a muzzle. Her ears were covered in the same brown fur as on her face, but the ends were the same pink as on her nose. They grew out and extended into more of rabbit's ears, but they quickly flopped down the sides of her face, hanging low as her neck. Her eyebrows became black and thinned out, as her eyes reshaped like Alice's and changed color to red. Her brown hair lightened up a bit to that same shade before thickening out and growing down to her back, curling upwards, as a few bangs came in front.

Mary's head reshaped in the same way her friends' did, and by now her vocal chords had upgraded to a mechanical voice box. Her nose sank back into her metal skin as its holes closed up, their functions rendered meaningless by now. Even so, a small rounded muzzle made its way out from where her nose once was. Her ears also sank back into her head, their holes closing up. As replacements, two triangular shapes extended out from either side of the top of her head, with a yellow layer of metal in front to allow her to hear. She closed her eyes in pain, as the inside of her head made its mechanical changes. Most notably, her brain quickly restructured into more of a memory chip, with her own memories converting into data. Now fully a robot, with her wings now attached, she opened her eyes, which were now just as big as her friends' and a light greenish shade of blue.

By now, they were sure the changes had concluded, which they could tell by the world they could see slowly coming into view behind each other. Now sporting the forms of a cat, rabbit, and robotic pony, they were all just as excited as they were when the changes started.

"The stones worked!" Alice said, fully examining herself, "And this cat body feels fantastic!"

"No kidding," Rachel said, "I just want to pet you right now!"

"Aw, I think you're just as adorable!" Alice replied, "So Mary, how does being a robot feel?"

"I feel so powerf-"

Mary stopped herself there, and the three girls froze. They were well aware Mary needed a voice box to operate her vocal components, but the voice that came out, while just as high-pitched as they pictures it, didn't sound right.

"Hey, Mary?" Rachel eventually said, "Are you sure your voice box is set right?"

"Yeah," Alice continued, "why did… it…"

Alice couldn't continue her sentence, because a sudden tickle in Rachel's and her throats caused them both to start coughing uncontrollably. Something was forming there, and it caused every cough to sound a little less feminine…

"Are you guys alright?" Mary asked worriedly, "Why are you… wait…"

Mary's eyes widened, to which her friends were confused. Once they stopped coughing, they felt some of their clothing get a bit tighter all of a sudden. Feeling between their legs, they knew exactly what Mary was staring at.

And THAT was their final change.

"WHAT!?" Alice screamed in a bit of a masculine tone.

"Oh no," Mary said, frightened, "don't tell me…"

"We were never regressing age," Rachel said, freaking out, "we were turning into boys!"

Indeed, the only thing that defined their femininity was replaced with… masculine parts, which were even visible by the swells that formed there in their clothes…

"Oh my god," Rachel said, panicking, "this is a disaster! That rock just turned me into a crossdresser!"

"This isn't the fantasy I had planned!" Mary said. If he could, he would've been crying by now.

But as they continued to panic, Alice remained silent among the group. He had his brother in mind when he made his wish, but it only went as far as wishing his gender would be respected while they were magical…

Of course, they all believed that a girl wishing herself magical would automatically keep her gender, so Rachel trained them to ignore the gender request to save time for perks. So, none of them had "girl" in their wishes, and one of them asked for masculine respect.

And he just ruined his friends with it.

But then Alice felt something materialize on his back. Pulling it out, it appeared to be a gray sword hilt, and all three of them stepped back in shock when a burst of green energy from it formed some sort of blade.

In his line of sight, Alice saw some sort of slime creature approaching them. He had something to prove…

Remembering the attributes he asked for, Alice rushed her nimble feet towards the monster, and jumping over it, a quick flurry of slashes slayed the monster.

"Woah!" Rachel said, impressed.

"Who cares about gender?" Alice called out, "We have all the powers we could ask for!"

That was when Rachel heard the sound of slimy movement. Looking down, another slime monster had found its way next to him.

"AH!" she screamed, holding her hand out, stay away!"

And then, before all of their eyes, a light blue star inscribed in a circle formed around his hand, and a blast of ice fired at the slime, freezing it in a block of ice.

"Ooh…" he said, staring down at his hand.

Mary's curiosity suddenly peaked. Once he got used to four-legged walking, he walked up to the slime monster. He lifted a hoof at it, wondering how to handle this. He must've activated something, because her hoof opened her arm up like the lid of a can, and a bomb launched out, destroying the monster.

"Wow!" he said, surprised, "Okay, I have to admit, that was awesome!"

"Well…" Rachel said, sighing a bit, "… I guess my magic is pretty sweet."

"So then why complain," Alice said to them, walking back, "when we can see what else is in store for us?"

The three of them looked in the direction Alice was before. There looked like a lot of things to explore in the vibrant hills and terrains that awaited, and the obstacles there were just begging for the girls… well, boys, to come conquer them.

Needless to say, they all had powers they wanted to try out on them.

"That's a good point you've got," Rachel admitted, "I wanna see what other spells I can cast!"

"And I've got a fresh set of wings I want to try!" Mary said enthusiastically.

"Then let's explore this new world!" Alice said, pointing her sword out, We've got a lot to see!"

He ran out towards the hills cluttered with monsters, and Rachel and Mary followed right behind her. They were all readied up for exploration, combat, and the many adventures that awaited the newly born animal partners.

Maybe "magical boys" wasn't that bad of a compromise after all…
No, you didn't read that wrong. The three characters in the reference pic are all cross dressing boys, because Japan. Wonderful.

So, this was my second commission from Palette-The-Painter, and oh boy, he's got some interesting indies… I was told to make a magical girl style story with this one, and even though the development cycle took a while, I'm pretty proud with the results. I tried imagining what it would be like if three anime fangirls were written about, so I thought the best way to do it was to poke fun at some clichés and give them young demeanors!

Seriously though, this story contains multiple transformations, anime references, an anthro cat, a pony, a robot, an ever-so-slightly NSFW reference pic, and TG. If this doesn't fall in my top 5 most popular stories, I don't know what will!

So enjoy this piece of ambition with the least recognizable characters I've ever had the honor of using!
