"Is there seriously nothing decent?" Paul asked in frustration.

Paul Runestone was browsing the Internet for cosplay costumes one day. He was trying to get ready for an upcoming convention and wanted to dress sharp. He didn't want some cheap clothing, he wanted something that looked just like the character he dressed up as. He just wasn't finding anything very good.

That's when he came across this one advertisement. It told Paul to give them his address so they would send him a costume of a random character that would be so realistic "he would actually feel like the character". He wouldn't have believed it, but he was also looking at sample pictures of some of the best cosplay costumes he'd ever seen. He decided to get one for the low low price of $25.

A few days later, the package containing his costume arrived on his doorstep, just a few hours before he had to leave for the convention. He hurriedly took the package to his room and opened it up.

Digging through the styrofoam, he found the cloth of the costume, as he lifted it up and it was revealed to be a costume of... uh, Zero Suit Samus.

"What?!" Paul said in anger. He couldn't believe they gave him a female costume, especially when he specifically remembered checking off his gender as male.

He shrugged it off anyway and dug through the rest of the box. Besides the full-body jumpsuit, modeled after her appearance in Super Smash Bros. 4, he found Samus's pistol, along with attachable mechanical-looking equipment he noted to be her jet-boots and wrist rings. He knew he definitely didn't want to wear this for the convention, but he was still a big Metroid fan decided to try it on anyways.

There was a zipper on the back, which wasn't very visible. Just like he'd expected, the Zero Suit was a tight fit. It really was skin-tight, more than he'd expected, except for the chest area, which was loose due to the lack of breasts. He picked up the jet-boots and slid her feet in, as he took apart the two-piece wrist rings and reattached them on his wrists. They were way too tight, but he figured they made the costume complete.

Picking up the pistol, he walked over to the mirror. The male appearance of his face combined with the lack of breasts, manly body, and privates that pushed against the skin-tightness proved that men really shouldn't wear this costume. It did not look right, and he certainly didn't feel like Samus. He was about to take it off, when all of a sudden, he felt the suit start to feel better on his body.

It certainly felt more pleasurable, as he felt the suit readjust itself to fit his body better. He felt the thigh areas tighten to fit his flat thighs, and the tops of the legs loosen a bit. He felt the feet areas loosen to accommodate for his manly feet, and even the jet boots felt like they were pushing out to fit his legs. It really was an amazing suit.

Paul was impressed... until he actually looked at his legs. The suit didn't readjust, his legs did! His thighs flared out, the tops lost some fat and muscle, his feet shrunk, and so did the areas the jet boots covered! The suit was changing his body to fit the suit better! He reached for the zipper to get out, but... it was gone... and that's when Paul screamed.

His arms were also changing. Looking at them, he noticed them getting much leaner to fit the suit, losing their fat and muscle, especially the wrist areas. The hands also became smaller and daintier, as the fingers extended to fit the suit. His arms were also lengthening a bit, to flatten the folds that were by the elbow.

The fat in Paul's stomach was moving downwards, where it moved to his hips and rear. Both grew outwards to woman's proportions, fitting the lower half of the suit. Except for the bulge down below, which was now sinking into him, replaced with the reproductive organs of the opposite gender. His, now her, chest became a bit smaller, before two lumps of fat expanded into decently large breasts, which completed the feel of the suit.

"What the hell happened?!" Paul said to herself, thinking the transformation was over. She had to warn somebody, because her body was just altered by this suit in false hopes of making her feel like Samus. She tried to run, but she immediately fell down hard, not used to having heels on.

"Ow! That reall..." Paul said, before gasping deep. All of a sudden, her voice sounded just like that of Samus, signaling that she was still changing. Indeed, her whole face was smoothing out and losing any traces of muscle. Her lips were puffing a bit and becoming more pink as her nose shrunk down a bit and became more petite. Her eyes became blue as her eyebrows thinned a bit. Lastly, her hair changed from brown to a luscious blonde, as it grew to her neck on the sides and down to her back in back. To finalize the physical changes, a red hair tie formed on the back of her hair, tying it into a ponytail.

Paul was horrified when she looked in the mirror. In a few minutes, her precious body became a complete copy of that of Zero Suit Samus, and she had no way to change back! Panicking, she looked for a remedy somewhere... and luckily, she found a button on her pistol that said "Emergency MAN". Relieved that there was a way out, she pressed the button.

The pistol had an automated voice: "Initiating Emergency Mind Altering Neutralizer". Before Paul could even react, the neutralizer was injected into Paul's hand, as she fell onto the floor unconscious. In her unconscious state, her memories were fading away from her. She was gaining memories of being Samus, the bounty hunter whose parents were killed in a horrific incident with Ridley and was raised by Chozos. She remembered the mission she was on, and crashing onto an unknown area. All these memories replaced those of Paul, as Paul Runestone was no more.

When she awoke, she was in the unknown area, next to her crashed ship. She picked herself up off the ground and picked up her pistol as she ran towards the ship of the pirates that just shot her own ship down.

Nothing fancy, just your average costume transformation. And I love it.

Now, I don't know why I was told to make the character a guy named Paul Runestone, but I guess it means something! I had plenty of fun making the plot to this story, and I feel like I did a good job with Emergency MAN. For the record, this was originally a planned Antique Your Existence story before I realized that the Zero Suit is anything but antique.

So enjoy what is far from the first Zero Suit Samus TF story, but possibly the first with the Smash 4 design!

Not to sound weird or anything but I wouldn't mind being in his position.

Neither would 70% of the community.

Why 70%?

I can't do math with this very well… but from my experience with DeviantArt and all the TF writers I've seen, I'm sure the whole gender-swap thing is actually a pretty common transformation wish among the community, especially into one of gaming's… sexier females. Although I guess the whole mind-wipe thing would turn a lot of other people away.

Yeah it kind of is pretty common. And yeah, minus the mind wipe.
